Excursion

The rough but also smooth feeling of perfectly carved wood.
How did they think of such good ways to do things? I wondered to myself.

We were at Cranbourne gardens. Bridget our tour guide was teaching us how indigenous people used tools a long time ago and handing them out so we could feel. It is amazing how clever they were at thinking up ways to live off the land.

This is Charlie and I trying to make a fire.

Bridget told us a way aboriginals used to hunt and I thought it was very clever. First they would throw a boomerang at ducks to scare off them to another lake. But hiding under the that lake, there were little boys using a reed with a hole as a snorkel, ready to grab the ducks feet and kill them.

Do you know how aboriginals used the land to do any other clever things? If you do then comment how they did it and what they used.
